  • 55% of those surveyed shared that they suspected they were cheated on during quarantine
  • Almost 45% of female users report they’ve been cheated on since early march
  • 16% of male users report they’ve been cheated on since early march
  • 30% of respondents say cheating took place with a past flame
  • Nearly 75% claim they signed up for a dating site to effectively move on during the limited social-distancing era
  • 88% believe they can make a lasting connection with someone who they can trust online

In addition to the surprising statistics, Dating.com offers some tips to help people look for signs of cheating. Here’s what to look for:

  • Stretches of time where your partner is unreachable
  • Changes or improvement to their appearance or wardrobe as they work to impress someone else
  • Disinterest in your day, activities, or interests
  • Increase phone use could be a symptom of chatting with someone new
  • Vague response to answers, especially about whereabouts

The Coronavirus has changed many aspects of life, including intimate relationships. For many, joining an online dating service is a way to take control of their dating life once again and get over the feelings of betrayal.
